    Overview

Costa Rica is one of the most biologically rich countries in the world, where volcanoes, rainforests, cloud forests, and tropical coastlines all sit within a remarkably compact geography. This itinerary links several of the country's most distinctive regions, beginning in the Central Valley before moving to the canal networks of Tortuguero, the volcanic landscapes of Arenal, the misty forests of Monteverde, and finally the beaches of Guanacaste.

Along the way, the journey reveals the country's extraordinary biodiversity. Wildlife sightings, forest walks, and guided nature excursions are balanced with time to relax in scenic settings, whether soaking in Arenal's hot springs or enjoying sunset along the Pacific coast.

As with all journeys we design, the structure is flexible and fully customizable. Hotels, activity levels, and routing can all be adjusted based on travel dates, personal interests, and whether the trip is designed for couples, families, or multi-generational travel.

    Trip Highlights

Explore the remote canals of Tortuguero National Park by boat with a naturalist guide
Hike Arenal Volcano and swim beneath La Fortuna Waterfall
Walk canopy-level hanging bridges through the rainforest near Arenal
Search for quetzals in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Unwind on the golden Pacific beaches of Guanacaste with optional surfing and sailing

    What This Journey Typically Costs

Because every Costa Rica journey we design is fully custom, pricing varies based on travel dates, accommodations, activity selections, and the overall length and rhythm of the trip.

    As a general guideline

Travelers combining Tortuguero, Arenal, Monteverde, and Guanacaste can expect a range depending on lodge style, season, and group size. All itineraries are custom-quoted once we understand traveler priorities.

Quotes typically include guided experiences, ground transportation, national park entrance fees, and carefully selected accommodations. International airfare is generally quoted separately.

We'll walk you through the options transparently and recommend what makes the most sense for your trip.
