Overview
This expedition-style journey connects Chile and Argentina through the remote landscapes of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, blending overland exploration with one of the world’s most celebrated expedition cruises. Beginning in Santiago, the route moves steadily south, transitioning from cultural centers to the fjords, glaciers, and historic waterways of the far southern Andes.
At the heart of the itinerary is the Australis expedition cruise, navigating the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle Channel, and Glacier Alley with guided Zodiac landings, wildlife encounters, and a landing at Cape Horn.
After disembarking in Ushuaia, the journey continues through Argentine Patagonia with time in Tierra del Fuego National Park and Los Glaciares National Park before concluding in Buenos Aires, where neighborhood exploration and an optional tango evening provide a refined contrast to the southern wilderness.
